Heaven forbid, but what if you die unexpectedly? What will happen to your loved one? You wouldn’t want them suffering and hungry would you? Can you be strong armed into buying life insurance (wasting your money) if the salesman overwhelms you with fear? Yeah, I thought so.
So you die and your loved ones cash in. Now you’re in heaven watching your wife f-ck her new man on the pile of money your death gave her. What do you do? Your misfortune has elevated her standard of living. You’re more useful in death.
And what if your loved ones are responsible for your death? Can you really discount such a possibility? If the price was high enough I imagine many spouses and progeny would have few quams about dispatching a loved one? What about you? If you were offered 10 million or 100 million or a billion dollars to kill a family member would you do it? I know you would.
Don’t buy life insurance. Let your family know that when you die they will suffer and struggle. If they’d like to avoid that horrible inevitably they’d better keep you alive. No murder. They’d better pay attention to your health and your stress and happiness levels.
Not buying life insurance means your family will need and love you while you live and be sad when you die. Buying life insurance simply serves to give your family something to look forward to. Don’t give them the satisfaction.
On a side note, I’m planning to solve the problem in a unique (classical) way by simplying having my spouse and dependents entombed with me when I die. Problem solved.
